Heartaches Match is a Draw
The Heartaches made their annual visit to Odiham & Greywell on Sunday in a match that marked the 300th appearance of Andrew Rossdale. OGCC batted first and with solid contributions from Peter Hodgson, Graham Jones, John Hodgson and Kyran Munt, set a target of 247.
The visitors, once again including Sir Tim Rice, set about reaching the target. Wickets were hard to come by for OGCC. Phil Thomas returned to bowling duties for the first time in a few months and enjoyed taking four wickets This could not help Odiham to take the wickets required. The Heartaches could have won on the last ball, needing two runs but they lost a wicket instead, meaning the contest ended in a draw.
It was a very enjoyable and busy day at the clubouse and the club look forward to seeing the Heartaches again in 2016.
