Here’s the final league standings for 2022.
After the successes of last year which saw numerous promotions, the objectives for the new season were laid out. The 1st XI looked to consolidate in their first season in Div1 and have exceeded that by finishing 6th.
The twos went on a last minute rampage to try and gain promotion, which may or may not happen…watch this space. The 3rd XI replicated their success from the previous season, finishing 2nd! Our newly formed 4th XI finished 6th, which saw some great development from our young players, male and female alike.
Onto the ladies, who had doubts about their survival in division one, but went up and above their objectives to finish 3rd!! The academy side blitzed division three and finished top! All in all, we are pretty happy with how 2022 went.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the teams both home and away, to Cara for the numerous teas every week, to the coaches all the way through the age ranges, to the players themselves who gave us headaches every week by continuing to be available (doesn’t always happen) and to the ground staff, who as volunteers have endured a tough time with the weather conditions.
